Planning the fiscal year, informing members and representing the PVD.
These are the duties of the executive board.
The executive board of the Prepaid Verband Deutschland e. V. represents the association externally and will be elected for the period of one year at the General Assembly. At the first meeting of the new fiscal year, the board provides the members the investment, financial and personnel plan for the coming fiscal year. In addition, the Board of PVD informes his members about the medium-term plan.
The executive board of the PVD is entrusted with the leadership of the association. For this he is regularly, promptly and comprehensively informed on all relevant issues of planning, business development, risk assessment and risk management.
Jörg Steinmetz
M&M GmbH – Managing Director
For 13 years, Jörg Steinmetz was responsible for the complete commercial area of the company as an authorized signatory of ICP Transaction Solutions GmbH. He has been Managing Director of M&M GmbH since the beginning of 2019.

Volker Patzak
epay / Director Business Development
Volker Patzak is responsible for expanding the prepaid product portfolio as Director Business Development for the incentive specialist epay/transact Elektronische Zahlungssysteme GmbH. As a graduate expert in business administration and customer loyalty, he has held various positions in the prepaid, payment and loyalty industry since 2000.

Vincenzo Castaldo
REWE Group Buying GmbH / Senior Category Buyer Value Added Services
Vincenzo Castaldo has held a wide variety of positions and companies in the retail sector since 1987. He heads the value-added services department at Rewe Group Buying GmbH and is thus responsible, among other things, for product management and the further development of the prepaid category in Rewe Group’s own sales divisions in Germany.
In nine additional European countries, including Austria and Italy, he is further developing the category with the regional managers in the Rewe Group sales divisions there.

Dr. Hartwig Gerhartinger
Paysafe Group / SVP, Global Head of Regulatory and Government Affairs
Dr. Hartwig Gerhartinger is SVP and Global Head of Regulatory and Government Affairs of the Paysafe Group and is responsible for Legal, Regulatory and Political Communications. The graduated lawyer is a proven expert in e-money regulation and money laundering law. He is also a member of the Payment Systems Market Expert Group (PSMEG) of the European Commission.

Georg Wyrwoll
Mayor of the municipality of Werbach (Baden-Württemberg)
For more than one and a half decades, Georg Wyrwoll was responsible for corporate communications and relations with government agencies, authorities and trade associations in the field of company and state social benefits at one of the leading prepaid issuers. As mayor of the municipality of Werbach, idyllically located in the Tauber Valley in Baden-Württemberg, he authentically and enthusiastically represents the advantages of prepaid solutions in municipal economic development and public service provision.
