Association Members
The PVD is a trade association and a body representing
the interests of the German prepaid industry.
Our members come from different sectors of the industry. This includes, for example, suppliers of prepaid means of payment (e.g. banks and electronic money institutes), processing companies, card organisations, loyalty system providers and trade distributors of prepaid payment products.
The PVD was founded on 15 June, 2011 as PFD (Prepaid Forum Germany) in Frankfurt with eight companies, since which time additional companies active in the German prepaid industry have bolstered its numbers.
The PVD represents its members’ interests while actively striving to further develop the prepaid market. In its role representing the industry, the association is also a point of contact for political entities (government, parliament, European Commission), supervisory authorities (BaFin etc.), the Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) as well as other authorities (e.g. BKA) and the public (press, scientists etc.).
